Motability is a charity which helps disabled people of all ages to get around. It does this by helping them to use some or all of their Disability Living Allowance (DLA) at the higher rate Mobility component, or War Pensioners Supplement to buy or lease a car.

To qualify for a new car under the Contract Hire Scheme or Hire Purchase Plan of Motability, you must be in receipt of either:

The award of your DLA or WPMS must be for a minimum period of 12 months to qualify for a Contract Hire vehicle, or for the full length of the Hire Purchase agreement.

In both cases, supply of a vehicle is subject to your application being accepted and authorised by Motability.
